Limassol has a new kind of team to cheer for. Force 8 Sports, the official BRP Certified Distributor in Cyprus, is now supporting Aris Limassol FC eSports through the Can-Am brand. From this season, the team competes with the Can-Am logo on its official kit.
For Force 8, the partnership is about backing local talent and ambition. Aris Limassol eSports is a young team from our own city, built to carry the club’s green and white colours into competitive gaming and onto the European stage.
A new chapter for a Limassol club
Aris Limassol FC eSports was founded in December 2025 as the club’s official eSports department. Its focus is EA SPORTS FC 27, competing in three formats:
- Clubs (11v11): each player controls one footballer and plays as part of a full team
- 1v1: individual head-to-head matches
- Phygital: a mix of physical sport and gaming, where fitness counts as much as reaction time
The squad includes Kostas Christopoulos (midfielder, 11v11 coach and phygital player), goalkeeper Sotirios Polychroniadis, defenders Giorgos Paschalidis and Loukas Makos, and forward Nikos Emmanouilidis. A head coach and an assistant coach run tactics, training and player development.
Strong start in Europe
In its first full season, the team already competes internationally in the VPG Balkan League and VPG League 3. They are currently 1st in League 3 and 10th in the Balkan League. Last season they finished 4th in the Greek Cypriot league and reached a regional tournament final.
The 2026/27 season kicked off on 19 October. The next big date for local fans is the Phygital Tournament in Larnaca on 15 November 2026.
What the partnership means
“Having Can-Am as one of our sponsors is an important step forward for Aris Limassol FC eSports,” says Marios Otman, Head of eSports Department. “For our team, this partnership represents much more than financial support. It is a vote of confidence in our vision, our potential, and the future of competitive gaming.”
Fans will see Can-Am on the team’s jerseys, live streams, matchday graphics and social media.
Would the players like to ride a Can-Am?
We asked whether anyone on the team has ridden a Can-Am, or would like to try one.
“We would certainly welcome the opportunity to organise a special Can-Am experience for our players,” Otman says. “It could also provide a fantastic opportunity to create engaging content combining the excitement of powersports with the competitive world of eSports. A joint experience involving our players, Can-Am vehicles, and the Force 8 team could be a memorable way to celebrate the partnership.”
Growing eSports in Cyprus
The team sees a bigger goal behind the jersey. “We hope to see more Cypriot organisations competing internationally, more opportunities for talented young players, and stronger cooperation between traditional sports clubs and the gaming community,” Otman says. “For Aris Limassol eSports, the goal is clear: to help put Cyprus on the European eSports map.”
